A Morning with Google Plus Event Live Streamed, Hopefully Will Bring Nexus 5 and Android 4.4

As you probably know, Google will hold an event this morning at 9:30 AM Pacific time where several updates to the Google Plus social network will be unveiled. Hopefully, the folks at Google will also reveal the highly-anticipated Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat.

Called “A Morning with Google Plus,” the event will be hosted by the company’s Senior Vice President Vic Gundotra. As a refresher, the Nexus 5 is expected to arrive with a 5-inch 1080p LCD display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB of internal storage, 2,300 mAh battery, and an 8 MP rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization. According to the latest reports in the business, the 16 GB model of the highly-anticipated smartphone will have a price of $349.

Update: Vic Gundotra announced via Google Plus that the team is experiencing some problems and that the event will “likely be delayed by 15 minutes.”
