Google’s Nexus 7 to reach Europe in September
Google’s Nexus 7 tablet has made a lot of buzz during its release and it proved to be one of the most successful tablets on the market. Sales are expected to reach 8 million this year and the tablet hasn’t even reached Europe officially, though the release date is set for September.
The 7-incher has been already released in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, though Europe is a huge market too and it will definitely help boost sales. France will be the first country to get Google’s first tablet, on September 3. At first, French will only be able to get the 16GB version, priced at 250 Euro, taxes included.
After France, it’s most likely that the tablet will reach Germany, Spain and Italy, along with many other European countries. Though an issue right now is that Google’s Play market doesn’t have very much content available for Europeans, so we can only hope they will bring some more on this side too.
Currently Google doesn’t have any dangerous competitor for the Google Nexus 7, though it’s rumored that Amazon is preparing the Kindle Fire 2, which is Google’s biggest competitor on the 7-inch tablet market.
