At CES 2017, Huawei announced the global availability of its Honor 6X smartphone, which was announced in October last year. Honor will soon be launching the smartphone in the Indian market as well, on the 24th of this month to be exact. The company has already sent out invites to the media event on 24th and today it confirmed that Honor 6X will be sold in the country exclusively by Amazon.in.
Amazon India in fact has a promotional page dedicated for the Honor 6X live currently, teasing the launch. You can also choose to be notified when the smartphone becomes available for purchase by registering on the page.
The Honor 6X comes with a 5.5-inch sized IPS display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution and a pixel density of 403 pixels per inch. At the back, the Honor 6X features a dual-camera setup with a 12MP primary sensor and a secondary 2MP sensor. The setup features phase detection autofocus tech and comes with an LED flash. For selfies, the smartphone is equipped with an 8MP resolution camera on the front. Connectivity features offered by the Honor 6X include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 Low Energy, GPS with GLONASS, Infrared port, Micro USB 2.0, and 4G LTE with VoLTE support. The battery inside the Honor 6X is a decent 3340mAh unit, with support for fast charging. The fingerprint scanner is positioned at the back of the handset, claimed to unlock the smartphone in just 0.3 seconds.
The metal unibody smartphone comes in Gold, Gray, and Silver color options in China. The 3GB RAM variant is priced at roughly $245 in the country, whereas the 4GB variant is priced at $300. Pricing details for India will of course be revealed on the 24th during the launch event.
