How to delete or merge duplicate contacts with Contact Analyzer 2

Are you tired of manually searching for duplicate contacts? Now you can try Contact Analyzer 2 for Android; this free app developed by andron.mobi allows gathering information about the amount of contacts present in your phone and then lets you delete duplicates, merge identical contacts, search contacts with identical numbers and merge, edit or delete them by your liking. The app comes in four languages: English, Russian, Slovak and Chinese.

This is how the application works:

  • If you want to merge a contact with another, just tap on any contact and select Merge, now just touch another contact and press OK.
  • In order to edit a contact, tap on it and select Edit. You won’t have the same fields for all contacts, for example: SIM contacts will have only two fields, name and number, but a Google Contact allows you to add images, e-mail, instant messaging id, group assignment, website and many others.
  • The last but not least strong feature of the Contact Analyzer 2 is that it searches for contacts that use the same number and lets you delete them by pressing the Duplicate button or merge them into one contact.

This second version of the Contact Analyzer is supported by Android 2.x devices and does most of the work automatically, compared to its predecessor which worked only on devices powered by Android 1.5/1.6 and had you do most of the work.

For me this application is a must have because I often find myself with duplicate contacts and it becomes tiresome to manually find, delete or merge them together and compared to other applications (Contact Remover), almost everything is made automatically.

The application is used by many Android users because it’s free, small (295k) and simple to use. You can download Contact Analyzer 2 for free from the Android Market (Google Play) if you want to manage your contacts with ease.
