Use his tutorial if you want to learn how to successfully take a screenshot of your Google Nexus 5 display.
Despite that fact that the Google Nexus 5 smartphone has been launched for months now, there are some users who still don’t know how to successfully take screenshots of their phone’s screen. That is why I’ve created this post, so that every single N5 owner will learn how to take screenshots of their device and how to share them using various applications.
Taking a screenshot of the Nexus 5 screen is one of the easiest tasks that you could ever apply, as you will simply need to press two buttons simultaneously. This guide will work with all the Nexus 5 variants and models, rooted and non-rooted. You don’t need to install any 3rd party apps nor any other type of program to do a menial task such as capturing an image of what your phone is currently displaying.
All the screenshots that you will take with your phone will be saved in the Gallery Screenshot folder, which can be accessed with any photo Android app.
If you’ve rooted your device and it runs a custom ROM, then you should know that you can always find a ‘screenshot’ function in the ROM’s General Settings menu, so make sure to check that out, too. The tutorial below is a few steps long and might be even easier to apply than any other type of Screenshot function that might be packed within a custom ROM.
How to take a Nexus 5 Screenshot:
- Go to the screen that you wish to capture .
- Take the screenshot by pressing and holding at the same time Power and Volume Down.
- Release the buttons only when the screenshot frame appears and the photo is saved.
- To view the screenshot you simply need to drag down the Notification panel and tap on it.
- Open the image and then use the ‘share’ button in order to send it to other party or upload it to your Drive Cloud storage.
The screenshot is saved in Gallery.
This button combination works with all Google Nexus 5 stock and custom ROMs.
If you find these screenshot button combo to be to hard to apply, then you can try to use this Screenshot app from Google Play Store.
