How to take Screenshots on any Android ICS 4.0 Device
Taking screenshots on Android powered phones can be tiresome because it doesn’t come pre-installed with the OS and you have to install a third-party app so you can do a basic task like taking a screenshot. This is a thing of the past though, because the Android ICS 4.0 comes with this feature built in and taking screenshots is very easy.
If you want to take a screenshot on an Android ICS 4.0+ device (like the Galaxy Nexus), all you have to do is press and hold the volume down and power button at the same time and wait until the screenshot is taken. You’ll know that the screenshot has been taken when a mini picture of your screen appears in the upper left corner of the display. If you want to view the screenshot, just swipe down from the top to reveal the notifications area and there you will find it. Of course you can access it by going to your gallery also, but the notifications way is faster.
Now you can quickly take a screenshot whenever you want, all you have to do is update to the latest ICS 4.0 Android OS. Of course if your phone doesn’t come with volume buttons or if they are broken, well… you’re out of luck.
