I have a problem trying to install the zip files. Both of them come up with an error E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed.
Can you help?

hiii after the completion of installation i tried rebooting but its nt going to the normal home screen its still at the CWM recovery screen only plzzzz help

I have followed the instructions step by step. So far everything is working fine and there are no lags, force closes or even errors reported. I’ll keep updating if there is anything. So far so good. The music player is not that interesting, though. Thanks to the developers for taking their time for doing this for us. Thanks everyone! (:

That’s very weird. Does it go into download mode ? If it does, then try flashing another kernel or even an entire ROM through Odin.

Thanks Alex, it worked just fine but now I’m having another problem..
It’s been working just fine for couple of days now but this morning I had an error whenever I tried to open the contacts, thought to restart it but since then and it won’t pass the animation screen!
Tried to go into the recovery mode but again it won’t work by anyway!!
Any idea?

Thank you. I tried to reinstall the Gingerbread 2.3.6 then updated it with ICS 4.0.4. And now, it works fine. The inconvenient thing is the receiving signal, now the signal is not as good as it used to be. Usually, I got full signal, now about 75%. Other than that, everything is just great.

You should retry the update or reinstall a Gingerbread firmware and then try again. It’s possible that something went wrong during the update.

Hi,
I upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S i9000 from Android 2.3.6 to 4.0.4 and followed your step by step guide.
The upgrade process is successful, but now my i9000 cannot detect/recognise any SIM card. I tried to change the card and test my previous SIM card into another phone and it works fine (on other phone).
Please help me to solve this problem. Thank you very much.

hi tried upgrade, it said it had installed successfully but then froze, i did as suggested and removed battery and reinserted now phone is completely dead nothing.

any ideas?
