I had an MK16a and I flashed using MK16i ftf. by accident.

To restore a softbricked xperia, google your phone model and add “ftf” in the search. flash using flashtool.exe

So I learnt that you MUST make sure you flash it with the CORRECT firmware for your model to upgrade.
