The HTC Butterfly S is expected to be the successor of the J Butterfly (also known as Droid DNA). Now it seems that we get to see how it looks like, if the leaked photos posted by Chinese online publication VR-Zone are indeed the real deal. The website also says that it has information regarding the device.
The HTC Butterfly S will be revealed by the manufacturer at a press event that will take place in Taiwan on June 19, but we don’t know much about the smartphone as the company has not provided any details until now.
If we look at the images we can notice that the displayed device is not that different from the J Butterfly when it comes to appearance. According to the website’s sources, the handset will feature a 5-inch Full HD screen, detail that matches the previous rumors, which suggested the same display size.
Another interesting piece of information is the fact that the HTC Butterfly S will not sport a back speaker, like we were used to, and instead it will boast BoomSound speakers, which can be observed in the images down below the article, as well.
Another obvious aspect that can be noticed at first glance is that the device will feature the Sense 5 user interface.
To round up some of the details mentioned in the previous reports, the HTC Butterfly S will have an amount of internal memory of 16 GB, which can be expanded using a microSd card. The rumors also say that the device will be powered by a better processor, so we can only assume that it will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800, and it will sport the same Ultrapixel camera.
In terms of pricing, there is one rumor claiming that the HTC Butterfly S will be sold for around $670.
Other than this, there isn’t more information about the handset, but things we’ll become much clear six days from now, when the HTC Butterfly S will be unveiled.
