While the HTC Butterfly S is yet to be released, rumors are gathering and we are beginning to make an idea about what kind of specs it will come with. Today we have a brand new report that talks about the hardware of the device.
According to Focus Taiwan, publication which cites sources familiar with the HTC’s products, the HTC Butterfly S (which will be unveiled at a press event on June 19) will boast only 16 GB of on-board storage, which is rather a small amount considering nowadays’ trend for the flagship smartphones.
However, if the previous rumors are accurate, the phone will also sport a microSD card slot, which will allow the users to further expand the amount of internal memory if needed. If we look at other HTC devices, the j Butterfly features a microSD card slot, but the HTC Droid DNA doesn’t, so anything can happen with the Butterfly S.
Moreover, the publication also claims that it knows the price of the smartphone, and if we are to believe its source the HTC Butterfly S will be sold for 20,000 Taiwan dollars, which is the equivalent of around $670.
The other details about the HTC Butterfly S are pretty vague, but the previous reports have mentioned that the handset will come with a 5-inch Full HD screen. Also, even though the rumors have not mentioned the exact type of the CPU, they said that the smartphone will have a faster processor than the one sported on its predecessors. As said before, the HTC Butterfly will hopefully come with a microSD card, and it seems that it’s going to have a large battery in order to provide a longer usage from the last charge.
Other than this, there isn’t much to tell about HTC’s new high-end device because this is all that we know so far. More details will probably come up in the following days, and even if they don’t there is only one week until the handset gets launched, so all the questions will get their answers.
