HTC Droid DNA To Go Global As Butterfly

HTC Butterfly

HTC J Butterfly was the first smartphone packing a 5-inch display with full HD resolution and it was announced in Japan two months ago. The smartphone is also available on the US market at Verizon branded as HTC Droid DNA.

If you are leaving outside US or Japan and you were craving for HTC’s new flagship smartphone, hear that HTC Butterfly was officially announced for the international market, therefore it will hit Europe and other important markets in a GSM variant.

HTC Butterfly comes with the same 1,080p 5-inch display with Super LCD 3 technology and Gorilla Glass 2 protection, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset at 1.5 GHz and Adreno 320 GPU. The technical specifications list also includes 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, and an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording capabilities. On the front panel there’s a 2.1 megapixel camera, while the connectivity area hosts WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, AGPS, GLONASS and NFC. Under the unibody case there’s a slightly disappointing 2,020 mAh battery.

HTC Butterfly runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 4+ UI on top of it, and it promises to be the next sales hit of the Taiwan-based company. But Mobile World Congress 2013 is just around the corner, and we are all expecting to see another HTC flagship there.

With a bit of luck we will be able to spot the HTC Butterfly on the European store shelves later this month, and I guess the price will be around 600 – 650 EUR.

Hi! I’m originally from the Philippines and I’ll be in the US in the summer for a summer vacation and I’m planning to get HTC Droid DNA in Verizon…BUT the biggest question is what if I come back here in the Philippines with the HTC Droid DNA, would that cause any problem in its functions like Network Connectivity, WiFi, SIM CARD, Charger/Adapter, etc…or anything at all that could affect the phone since it’s from US. In short, since it’s from the US…is it only for the US users and not international? I’m new to this stuff and this question may sound stupid for you.
