Most of the tech enthusiasts know that the HTC smartphone launched for Werizon Wireless in The US is one of the best mobile terminals launched this year. But, HTC Droid DNA or an variant of it is nowhere to be found on the European market, a disappointing move from the smartphone maker that gathered a lot of fans through the years.
Still, it seemed like HTC will pleas its European fans with a variant of Droid DNA, after all, as there were some rumors indicating that HTC Deluxe DLX will hit the stores on the Old Continent. After Asia received HTC J Butterfly, a smartphone with the same technical specifications that made Droid DNA such a highly-appreciated terminal, it was about the time for the European market to receive similar treatment, and enjoy the new HTC flagship. It seems though that it will not happen too soon. Is it because HTC signed an exclusive contract with Verizon?
According to HTC Germany, the HTC Deluxe DLX model was not meant for the European market. Well, at least that’s what a recent post on their official Facebook page suggests. Besides the fact that Deluxe DLX will not hit Europe, there are no other details regarding the smartphone’s availability. We don’t know whether it will have the same hardware specifications as the Verizon variant, either. Let’s hope that the guys at HTC will make an official announcement, soon.
I remind you that HTC Droid DNA features a full HD 5-inch Super LCD3 display (1,080 x 1,920 pixels) protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2). It also comes with 16 GB of internal storage (no microSD card slot), 2 GB of RAM and an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, and full HD video recording support.
HTC Droid DNA is underpinned by the Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC developed by Qualcomm, dubbed the most powerful smartphone chipset currently on the market. The Snapdragon S4 Pro is based on four Krait cores clocked at 1.5 GHz, while sporting a potent Adreno 320 GPU. In terms of connectivity Droid DNA has all the features worthy of a high-end smartphone: LTE support, 3G, WiFi, WiFi Direct, WiFi Hotspot, DLNA, Bluetooth, microUSB and NFC chip.
