HTC Droid Incredible 4G/HD visits the FCC en route to Verizon
It looks like the FCC is a popular place to get new info about upcoming devices these days, and while the previous leak mentioned one high end Samsung device, this one is aimed at bringing you up to date with HTC’s US Android line up. The handset in question here is the new HTC Droid Incredible 4G/HD.
While the name of this particular device is still up to debate, it is pretty much a certainty that HTC will go with either HTC Droid Incredible 4G or HTC Droid Incredible HD. Which of them will HTC stick with is not that important as the device itself. It comes as the successor of the Droid Incredible line up and as such, must live up to its name.
The FCC has not leaked any details regarding the actual specs of the device, but it did tell us that the HTC Droid Incredible 4G/HD will come with 4G, better known as LTE. A nice surprise would be if HTC decided to fit the new smartphone with the latest bit of its hardware, like a Krait Qualcomm chip or even better a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3. One thing is for sure, it will pack 1 GB of RAM. It is also highly likely this will be another HTC device to pack an HD screen.
Another interesting puzzle is the software the HTC Droid Incredible 4G/HD will be running at launch. While some may say that it will be Android 2.3 Gingerbread it is highly likely that it will actually be Android 4.0 ICS topped with the latest version of HTC Sense.
The last and most important aspect is that this device will make its way to Verizon, and we hope it does so in the very near future.
