The HTC Evo 4G LTE for Sprint has been finally presented officially in New York City by Sprint and HTC. It is a branded device of the HTC One X and it will be distributed by Sprint in the United States starting with the second quarter of 2012.
HTC Evo 4G LTE Sprint packs a 4.7 inch Super LCD display that supports 720 HD res, 1.5 GHZ dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, a 9mp camera ImageChip powered, Sense 4.0 running on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 15GB internal storage with support for microSDHC, 1GB RAM, 2000 mAh battery levels and, as this post’s title says, it works with 4G LTE and besides this, it has support for NFC. Also, the EVO 4G will be the first smartphone released by Sprint and HTC that will come with HD voice. For the moment, the HD voice service isn’t enabled and that should happen after the release date.
The HD Voice term describes the same difference that is between standard resolution television and HD television. Sprint and HTC hold conjoined press conference which told users that the smartphone will be released in Q2 of 2012, while the pre-sales will start from May 7th and the pricing will start from $199.99 if you choose a contract plan. A particular thing about the HTC EVO 4G is that it features a kickstand stick that will allow you to rest the phone on any surface while watching videos, picture slide shows etc.
Sprint said sometime ago that the new cities that will receive support for 4G LTE will be Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City and San Antonio which should receive support for enhanced technologuy by the time of June 2012. 4G LTE technology help users benefit from super fast speeds for applications that are using data, while the improved 3G service will offer better signal strength with expanded coverage along with highly improved in-building service signal performance along with improved data connection speeds. Sprint invested massively in developing and expanding its network through all the United States’ metropolitan areas using their Network Vision.
The release date of the HTC Evo 4G should become one of Sprint’s best ever days and it should go down in history as the day ‘mobile telephony’ reached a new milestone and from now on this technology will only go higher.
