After the HTC M7 flagship was caught on camera ahead of the official announcement, reportedly scheduled for February 18th, it’s time for the M4 model to receive the same treatment. While HTC M7 will become the next HTC flagship, replacing models like One X and Droid DNA, the yet-unannounced M4 will be a mid-end terminal that will replace the equally-popular One S.
Just like it happens with the HTC M7, the technical speculations of the M4 are only rumors. Sources claim that the smartphone will have a 4.3-inch display with HD resolution, 4G LTE capabilities, a Qualcomm processor with dual-core 1.2 GHz Krait core, and 2 GB of RAM. HTC M4 will also come with a 13 megapixel camera sensor, and 16 GB of internal storage.
The rumor mill also indicates that HTC M4 will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, with the fifth version of HTC Sense UI on top of it.
The leaked HTC M4 pictures are revealing a black policarbonate body, with the famous Beats Audio logo on the back. The HTC M4 is a reminiscent of the 603e model for the Chinese market, a terminal that was also subject of the leaks a few days ago.
In a strange way, certain design elements are reminding me of the first M7 pictures that leaked online.
HTC has officially announced a double press conference for February 18th, which will be held simultaneously in London and New York, thus we might learn everything about the M7 and M4 terminals a weak before Mobile World Congress 2013 opens its gates for the public.
