HTC M7 Hands-on Picture Leaked, MWC 2013 Release Date Is On The Cards

After numerous speculations, rumors and leaked rendered shots, the first hands-on pictures of the highly-anticipated HTC M7 are finally hitting the web.

The first thing that strikes you as unusual is that the position of the Home and multitasking buttons have been switched. Anyway, the back of this device is a reminiscent of HTC Droid DNA, rather than HTC 8X.

A couple of screenshots of the new HTC Sense 5.0 user interface also leaked, together with the leaked pictures of the HTC M7. You can see the new clock widget and a cleaner look. In a bizarre fashion the volume buttons of the HTC M7 are on the right edge, while the camera was positioned on the top-right corner.

HTC M7 is rumored to become the next flagship smartphone of the Taiwan-based company, a direct competitor of smartphones like Google Nexus 4 or the yet-unannounced Samsung Galaxy S4. How many of the rumors that hit the web lately are true? We can’t know.

HTC M7 has made the headlines over the past few months, and, according to the rumors is one of the most powerful smartphones in the business. After HTC launched One X+, and HTC Butterfly in Japan and HTC Droid DNA in US with its 1080p display, the M7 is the next step in becoming one of the biggest players on the smartphone market. Well, at least that’s what the rumors are indicating.

Rumor has it that the new flagship smartphone will boast a 4.7-inch display with full HD resolution and a pixel density of 468 ppi. The terminal will reportedly integrate a 13 megapixel camera on the back of the case, packing HTC’s proprietary ImageSense technology.

HTC M7 will be powered by a Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.7 GHz, in quad-core configuration, with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The battery is a 2,300 mAh unit, while the terminal will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Reports are indicating that HTC M7 will be unveiled at MWC 2013 event in Barcelona, later next month. AT&T and Sprint US-based carriers are on the list of operators that will reportedly receive the HTC M7, a terminal with 4G LTE capabilities.

As about the price, rumor has it that the smartphone will be available at $199.99 with a two-year contract.
