Earlier today we’ve presented you a teaser released by the Taiwan-based company hinting that a new terminal will become “alive soon.” We’ve seen a lot of HTC M7 rumor hitting the web over the past few weeks. The guys at Frandroid.com apparently have some news about the HTC M7 release date and price in France.
A local retailer in France, called Phone House, is listing the HTC M7 as available starting March 8th, at a price of €649.99.
The HTC M7 release date listed by Phone House might after all check out if the Taiwan-based company will announce its new flagship smartphone on February 18th, as the latest rumors in the business are suggesting. A market debut in early March for the HTC M7 would be synced almost perfectly with the market debut of one of its biggest rivals, the Galaxy S4, as the reports are claiming that the Samsung flagship will hit the stores on March 15th.
Anyway, there are a couple of details in the leaked Phone House internal doc, hinting that we might be dealing with a fake document. First of all the pic in the left of the technical specifications is just a rendering that leaked online a couple of weeks ago, and after we’ve seen the HTC CEO exposing the M7, we know that the terminal will not look like that in real life.
Moreover the technical specs listed by the French retailer misses one, but important detail. The camera of the HTC M7 will not be a 13 megapixel unit as it was initially rumored, but a 4.3 ultrapixel sensor as a HTC teaser photo has suggested a couple of days ago. It looks like the Taiwanese phone maker is willing to step in the fight of the best smartphone camera, outmatching Nokia’s Pureview 808 cameraphone.
The rest of technical specifications seem pretty accurate and check out with what the rumor mill has speculated over the past weeks: full HD 4.7-inch display, Beast Audio, HTC Sense 5.0, 32 GB of on board storage, 4G LTE support, and NFC chip. If you want to make an idea about the complete specs sheet of the HTC M7, add 2 GB, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with Krait cores, Adreno 320 GPU and all the connectivity features worthy of a high-end smartphone.
As about the price of the HTC M7, it is pretty close to the one of the Xperia Z. If you’d convert €649.99 in dollars it would be about $820, but the phones in Europe were always more expensive than the ones on the US market. Therefore we are expecting the HTC M7 to hit US at a maximum price of $650.
The HTC event is less than two weeks away, and I am sure that we will find out more about the company’s next-gen flagship then. In the meantime please let us know if you find the rumors about HTC M7 release date and price are accurate in the comments section below.
