HTC One Android 4.3 Update Now Available for Download for Verizon Users

HTC One Android 4.3

The HTC One Android 4.3 update is now being pushed to the users who purchased the device from Verizon, after a HTC representative tweeted on Friday that the Android 4.3 update for HTC One will be coming to Verizon users “early next week.”

The Verizon HTC One Android 4.3 OTA update is being rolled out in stages, therefore not all the users will be able to download and install it right away. The new firmware update is labeled 2.10.605.1 and it has a size of 469 MB, so it’s recommended to download it using a stable WiFi connection. Anyway, if the system update notification didn’t showed up on your Verizon HTC One yet, you can also perform a manual check under Settings > About Phone > System Update > Check for updates. If this doesn’t bring the Android 4.3 update on your Verizon HTC One either, it might mean that you would have to wait a few more days.

According to the official changelog posted on Verizon’s support page the Android 4.3 update for HTC One brings, among  increased charging speed when using Mophie Juicepack power station, Play purchased ringtones, corrected faint ringing noise from earpiece, improved Backup Assistant performance, and other performance improvements and bug fixes.

After you perform the firmware update you will also get Verizon’s Cloud app, Connection error fixed in the HTC Watch application, and improved device keyboard.

The HTC One boasts about a 180p 4.7-inch Super LCD3 display with Gorilla Glass 2 protection, quad-core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, 4 MP UltraPixel camera with OIS and 1080p@30fps video recording, 2 GB RAM, 32/64 GB internal storage, and all the connectivity features worthy of a modern smartphone, including all standards of WiFi, LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, IR blaster, and microUSB 2.0.

Are there any Verizon HTC One owners reading this? Any of you managed to download and install Android 4.3 OTA update on your handsets? Please let us know in the comments section below.

To check for the update manually you need to do the following: Settings>Update(bottom of list)>Check New. I am downloading the update right now, and will check back with the update. I am also in the process of getting an AOSP rom that’s stable and gets great battery life and performance. Right now I’m choosing between CyanogenMod and Liquid Smooth, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
