HTC One M7 Android 4.4.2 Update with Sense 6 Now Rolling out for AT&T Users

A new HTC One M7 Android 4.4.2 OTA update is now rolling out, bringing the much-awaited Sense 6 UI for the AT&T users. The AT&T HTC One M7 Sense 6 update comes just one week after Sprint and Verizon released the same software update for their One M7 variants.

Because all the KitKat-specific goodies such as immersive mode, white status bar icons, cloud printing, Phone dialer with Caller ID, color emoji support, transparent status and nav bars, or full screen album art in the lockscreen have been patched in the previous Android 4.4.2 update for HTC One M7, the new software aims to update the interface to Sense 6.0. Besides the UI tweaks, the new firmware also arrives with an updated camera app, new motion controls, better power management, Ultra Power Saving Mode, and updated BlinkFeed.

Just like any other software update Android 4.4.2 with Sense 6 for AT&T HTC One M7 is being rolled out in stages which means that some of you might have to wait a bit more until the update hits your terminal. As soon as your AT&T One M7 becomes eligible to receive the new OTA update you should be able to see a system update message in the notification area. Tap on it and follow the on-screen instructions.

In case the system update notification haven’t showed up on your device, you might also want to perform a manual check under Settings > About > Software updates > Check now.

We don’t know yet the exact size of the AT&T HTC One Android 4.4.3 update file, but it could exceed 100 MB therefore it’s recommended to use a stable WiFi network while downloading it in order to avoid unwanted data charges. You should also have more than 50% battery life so the phone won’t turn off during the update.

Have you received the Sense 6.0 update on your AT&T HTC One M7? Please let your fellow HTC One owners know in the comments section below.

I got this about 4 hours ago (by manually checking), the size was 670+ MB, I don’t remember the exact size, but close to that. Definitely want wi-fi for this one.

I have checked just now, No update. I am carrier unlocked, will there be any delay in getting this update for carrier unlocked users?

Same problem.. is the update worth it?

I just updated about an hour ago ..size was well over 100 mb ‘s around 670 I believe so definitely be sure you’re on WiFi …also I checked software info and it says 4.2.2 but says sense 5.5,is that correct or should it say sense 6.0 ??0.o

Just updated it 20 minutes ago, file is over 600 mb. Mine requested the update automatically to 4.4.2 with sense 6.0. Not sure how I feel about it quite yet. But so far here is what I noticed:
The blinkfeed has this irritating bright green color (I am hoping I can change back to the default black). Also, text messages have a bright blue color at the top too lol. All my notification and my ringtone got changed and I favored my previous ones (not available in the list anymore). “Extreme power saving” mode seems neat for when my batt is very low and need to conserve as much as possible. I am not sure if the phone is getting used to the update still but it seems a bit laggy here and there.

    • LuciteBrian

Yeah the green blinkfeed is awful, not that I use it much

Go into settings, then “Personalize”,then go to the “Theme” and there you will have a few choices. I used the leaf (4th selection) cause it keeps the color on top all black.

        • LuciteBrian

          Thanks Chingo, doing it now

        • Lisa

          Awesome. Thanks so much!

If u don’t want your messages you can download different SMS app like go SMS in Google play store, you can customize it. 🙂

    • Matthew Ang

Yes u can jus go into settings> personalize> theme and change it back to black.

Updated this morning. Every text I send is sent 2-3 times. EVERY text. My 4 brothers (yes 4) with the same phone have the same problem. Data service is spotty when it never was before. Many other quirks that suck. Worst update ever.

    • brandon

yup…same problem here. sent my gf a text and she got it 13 times.

  • Lisa

All of my favorite sounds are gone forever, and all of the camera filters are different. Not a happy camper.

  • Lisa

Can someone tell me if it’s possible to retrieve the old sounds somehow?

  • Mohammed Wafy

i updated just now but the blinkfeeds not show and i can not show it… any help please

  • teehee

i kinda liked the new update! 🙂 esp the gallery, text messaging and dialer pad’s new interface. great job.

My first impressions are that HTC Sense 6 is horrible. Sure flat look is nice, but that’s it. There are only 4 themes not customizable. 2 are not worthy of looking at.
One of which is black and white/greyscale.
Email – gone is the Unread color bar on the left, now its bold, and a grey color on white. very hard to read. No customization other than font type.
It removed all my Exchange contacts I had in people. ALL OF THEM.
Did you like that old ringtone? forget it.. its gone too. Instead there are ringtones with “fluffy” names and sounds. grrrr.
I asked support if I could downgrade… apparently not possible. double grrrr.
and they are useless for help.
