The Taiwan-based phone maker has just made the HTC One M8 kernel source available for download for a quite a few variants of the handset.
The HTC One M8 Android 4.4.2 Kernel Source is currently available for Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and other carriers from across the globe including Europe, Australia, or Asia. The kernel source has also been made available for the unlocked HTC One M8 models in Europe and Asia, along with framework support file. If you happen to own an HTC One M8 Google Play Edition, you will be able to find the Android 4.4.2 kernel source and framework support files for this model as well.
The kernel source files for the three US variants of the handset are sized 91.3 MB. Because US’ T-Mobile hasn’t started selling the One M8 yet, the kernel source for their variant is not yet available for download. The general public might not find the ZIP files useful, but they will definitely be warmly welcomed by app developers and custom ROM makers.
You can download the HTC One M8 Android 4.4.2 kernel source and framework support files for the aforementioned variants of the handset and more directly from HTC’s Dev Center at this link.
