HTC One Mini is one of the smartphones that is making the headlines lately and we even saw it getting caught on camera next to its bigger brother, the HTC One. As you probably know, the rumor mill speculates that the Taiwan-based company is planning to transform the One brand into a whole line-up of smartphones, in a similar way Samsung did with the Galaxy S4.
The South Korean phone maker recently introduced the Galaxy S4 Mini (a smaller Galaxy S4 with mid-range specs), the Galaxy S4 Zoom (a camera phone with 16 megapxiel sensor with 10x optical zoom), and the Galaxy S4 Active (a rugged Samsung Galaxy S4 variant). Still, Sammy is yet to introduce the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Rumor has it that HTC is readying competitors for two of the aforementioned Samsung handsets: the HTC One Mini which aims at the Galaxy S4 Mini and the unofficially dubbed HTC One Max which will be a rival for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Anyway, today we will be talking about the HTC One Mini as the mid-ranger of the One family has been caught in some benchmark logs which come to confirm some of its technical specifications.
Also going by its codename, HTC M4, the terminal will come on the market as an alternative for the users who want the premium construction of the HTC One, but at an affordable price. It was reported that most of the big players of the smartphone market will introduce Mini variants of their flagship smartphones, with Oppo, Huawei, and ZTE among them.
Returning to the HTC One Mini benchmarks, learn that the terminal has been spotted in GFXBench, which confirms that initial reports saying that handset will sport a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset based on Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.4 GHz and Adreno 305 GPU.
The same benchmark logs have revealed that the HTC One Mini will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, of course with the company’s proprietary Sense 5.0 interface on top of it. It looks like the rumors were accurate after all and the One Mini will come with a 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 720p.
The other rumored HTC One Mini technical were not confirmed, but you may also want to know that the device is expected to arrive with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, and to borrow the 4 megapixel UltraPixel camera from the HTC One. Since it’s a HTC smartphone, the One Mini will probably pack BoomSound and Beats Audio, as well.
