HTC One has been launched at the same time in New York and London earlier today. The pricing and availability will differ between countries and carriers, which is why the subject might change until the official release date.
The One smartphone, is HTC’s flagship device and it will be available at 185 carriers worldwide starting with March 15, 2013. The Taiwanese company really upped their game with this new device, as it sports a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU, 4.7-inch 1080p FullHD display, an 8MP camera with an UltraPixel BSI sensor camera along with Zoe BSI sensor that should help you beautifully capture the best pictures. Its battery has 2300 mAh, microSD up to 64GB, 2GB RAM, HTC Sense 5, NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, DLNA, Micro USB 2.0 and MHL.
It will pack the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS with the HTC Sense 5, which is the latest UI version created for this smartphone. The device will be available in 80 countries worldwide and it will be sold by 185 carriers.
The One by HTC will be sold from 3 major US carriers: T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint. This means that Verizon has been left out as it will remain with the 2012 HTC flagship device, the Droid DNA. HTC One will be available starting with 15th of March 2013 and its pricing shouldn’t go over $600. This price tag will only apply to the US market, as for others you can expect this to be very different.
HTC One will be sold in UK from O2, Vodafone, EE and Three, but there is no official pricing released yet. As the days go by, we will get new updates, so that we will be able to create a ‘price map’ for all the countries and carriers worldwide.
Since the device has full support for LTE, it is expected to be marketed like that for all the countries where LTE is already up and running. However, countries that are non-LTE will see that the device will only be listed as LTE-ready, but such service cannot be used.
The device will be available in two colors: silver and black.
