The next generation of HTC Android running smartphones has managed to cause quite a stir since its official announcement and the waters haven’t settled since then. I am sure that many of us would like to know how the next generation of Qualcomm Snapdragon processor equipped with Krait architecture will handle the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processors and this is exactly the reason why the HTC One generation is so eagerly expected. The HTC One S will be the flagship of Qualcomm for the foreseeable future, and while Europeans and Asians will get to taste the device starting on Monday the 2nd of April there has been no news of a release date for the US. This has all changed with a recent leak that points to April the 22nd as the possible release date for the T-Mobile version of the HTC One S.
This leak seems to have come from a T-Mobile employee but as any leak take it with a pinch of salt. This is especially valid for this leak as T-Mobile usually launches new devices on Wednesdays and Fridays, but a Sundays launches have still happened. Still there is a chance that the 22nd of April might actually turn out to be a date further along the line, but in any case the release of the HTC One S should be somewhere near that date.
We have recently seen the HTC One S for T-Mobile pass through the FCC tests with flying colors, so the release date should be nearing. Another argument in favor of a nearing release date is the fact that the One S has recently been seen running a version of Android and HTC Sense 4.0 colored in Magenta, the official color of T-Mobile.
Another interesting fact is that unlike other devices out there, the HTC One S for T-Mobile will be nearly identical to the international version, which in turn means that they could be manufactured at the same time. The only difference between the international and the T-Mobile versions of the device should be cosmetic and on the software level so no need to worry here if you fancy the high tech casing and aspect of the One S.
We will be keeping you up to date if any more info about an official release date should arise from T-Mobile so be sure to watch out news page.
