HTC One will be launched from three big carriers in the US, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. Now that’s official as HTC USA has confirmed via Twitter their latest flagship smartphone won’t be available from the Verizon Wireless network.
The HTC One will be this year’s big contender for the best smartphone category. But since the announcement of the Galaxy S4 was made last week, we were expecting that HTC wanted for their One device to be available from all USA major carrier so that they will boost the overall sales and consequently improve their brand.
The official Twitter account states that the HTC ONe won’t be available from the Verizon Network and that users should buy the HTC Droid DNA device.
The unavailability of the HTC One on Verizon might be caused by the fact that HTC wants the device to keep the same title for all networks, while Verizon wants the ‘Droid’ name to be added for their network. As you know, Verizon owns the ‘Droid’ title for devices that are running on Android OS.
There were some rumors stating the the HTC One will be sold from Verizon with the Droid DNA PLUS title. If you’re on Verizon and you wanted to get your hands on this new phone, then you might want to switch carriers, as Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile will sell it.
HTC One features a Full HD 1080p 4.7-inch SuperLCD3, 2GB RAM, a quad-core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 CPU, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (upgradeable to Android 4.2.2 JB), HTC Sense UI, 2300 mAh battery and multiple others that should make it a joy to use.
