Huawei has just released the Ascend P1 in Munich and it’s a really powerful device. Huawei initially presented the device at CES this year and it will start shipping next week.
The Ascend P1 is part of Huawei’s new high-end Ascend lineup smartphones, as they try to enter this market. Until now Huawei has been known for making low-cost devices, though we knew for a while that they intend to enter the high-end market.
Huawei’s Ascend P1 features a Texas Instruments 1.5Ghz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 4.3-inch Super Amoled display, an 1,800 mAh battery. It weights 110g and it’s only 7.69mm thick. It comes with an 8MP primary camera and a 1.3MP frontal one, 4GB of internal storage, expandable through the microSD card slot.
Unfortunately it doesn’t feature a removable battery, just like the HTC One X and One S. It’s design looks very good and feels well in hand, though it’s quite slippery.
Like we said at the beginning, it will start shipping next week with a price tag of 449 Euro.
