More and more news about future Ice Cream Sandwich OS updates are spreading daily around the web lately, though just few of them are actually true. So far, there were more promises then real releases and most of us are already tired of speculating things up. That’s why maybe most of the users are choosing to flash unofficial firmware on their smartphones rather than wait for the officials versions of the software, which are more stable and without bugs compared to the numerous custom ROMs available for download.
Anyway, leaving this aside, let’s see what we managed to find out. According to our sources the Verizon HTC Rezound, Motorola Droid RAZR and MAXX are about to receive the ICS flavor. The official release date should be this month, so if you own one of the up mentioned phones you are in luck. Don’t get too enthusiastic though, as nobody confirmed the news or rumors if you like.
All we have is the above picture, which is a leaked document coming from Best Buy, showing that the Ice Cream Sandwich update release date for HTC Rezound is April 6, while the Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX will receive the same two days earlier, on April 4th. This info seems to be real, so check your handsets for any OS upgrades. This of course, if Verizon isn’t somehow, changing its mind and choose to delay everything. Let’s hope not, so cross your fingers.
