Hey this is a great guide... thanks. However I cant get the device to show up in odin :( I have tried everything I can think of, different usb ports, kies has been killed, I have rebooted numerous times, the phone is in download mode and shows up as "Samsung Mobile USB CDC Composite Device" in dev manager (im on winXP)... I have also tried plugging in the phone before and after launching Odin, but that didnt work either... any advice?
UPDATE: I just got it to work finally. I had to use a version of odin called "odin3 v1.85.exe" that I downloaded from another tutorial. weird, but it worked. thanks again.
