These leaked pictures could have as well made the headlines as the ones of the future iPhone 6, as the design of the Huawei smartphone is no doubt a reminiscent of the iPhone 5. Still, we are talking about the Huawei Ascend P6, if it is to believe the details that come with the photos.
As usual, we are recommending you to take the leaked pictures with a pinch of salt, as, after all, we might be dealing with an iPhone clone. The Huawei Ascend P6 pictures leaked online courtesy of Nowhereelse.
What’s interesting about the alleged Huawei Ascend P6 is that it comes with the iPhone-specific “notches” that are associated with the antenna signal, plus the similar design for the edges. On the other hand, the leaked smartphone is taller than the iPhone 5 and a lot thinner.
A while ago we found out that Huawei is working hard to develop a smartphone codenamed P6-U06, which is only 6.18 mm thin and weighs in 120 grams.
The rumor mill speculates that the upcoming Huawei Ascend P6 will run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and that it will sport a 4.7-inch HD display. There are no details about the company that will manufacture the chipset of the Ascend P6, but it seems that we will be dealing with a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz.
Reports are indicating that the yet unnanounced Huawei ultra slim smartphone will feature 2 GB of RAM and that it will have a CMOS digital camera with 5 megapixel resolution, plus 32 GB of internal storage.
If you asked me I would say that the camera unit of the Huawei Ascend P6 is disappointing, but maybe the China-based phone maker will make use of a technology similar to HTC One’s UltraPixel, which would make the sensor a worth competitor against the 13 megapixel rivals on the market.
