The Australian users of the WiFi Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 will finally receive the long awaited Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for their devices, as Samsung just released the OTA firmware. So, if you were expecting a new OS improvement for your Note 10.1, now you can get excited as the latest Jelly Bean flavor has been made available for you. By updating your tablet with the same, you will be able to get the latest features and apps, the so called Premium Suite features, multi-window and air-view for the S-Pen being included.
In Australia, the official Jelly Bean OTA update for the Galaxy Note 10.1 is being expected from a while, as in Europe for example, the same firmware has been released since December last year. Well, now is February, which means that by now the Note 10.1 users from Australia had manually updated their handsets with the stock Android 4.1 OS, or probably a Jelly Bean based custom ROM is already running on the same. Anyway, now you can replace the custom ROM with the default Android system, as the OTA software is here.
You can OTA or by using KIES install the upgrade on your WiFi Galaxy Note 10.1, though as usual when talking about official ROMs, not all the users will receive the software on the same time, so be patience. Furthermore, you should know that the OS is 505 MB in size and it has been launched only for the WiFi variant of the Note 10.1. The Australian 3G owners of the same device will have to wait a little bit longer until the Jelly Bean platform will embrace their tablets too.
