LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition Getting Android 4.4.2 KOT49H OTA Update

Android 4.4.2 for LG G Pad 8.3 GPE

A few days after the LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition was made available for purchase in Play Store, the 8.3-inch tablet running stock Android received the Android 4.4.2 update. The build number of the LG G Pad 8.3 GPE Android 4.4.2 update is KOT49H.L004, which is indicating that it’s similar to the Android 4.4.2 KOT49H build that was recently rolled out for the supported Nexus devices.

The changes in Android 4.4.2 update aren’t major when compared to Android 4.4, as it only brings a couple of tweaks for the interface elements and a few bug fixes.

The Android 4.4.2 OTA update for LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition is being rolled out in phases, so, if you didn’t receive it already keep your eyes on the system update notification. Alternatively, you can try your luck and perform a manual check. To do so navigate to Settings > About tablet > System update then hit the Check now button.

The users are reporting that the KOT49H.L004 update weighs 52 MB, so it’s up to you whether you download it thorugh your mobile connection or through a WiFi network.

Earlier today we’ve told you that the Android 4.4.2 update is also being pushed to the owners of the HTC One Google Play Edition, which might be a sign that 4.4.2 would roll out for the rest of the Nexus experience devices in the next few days. If you happen to own a Galaxy S4 GPE or Xperia Z Ultra GPE you might as well want to check for the update in the System Update menu.

Please let us know in comments if you received the Android 4.4.2 update on your LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition tablet.
