Last month, the Korean phone maker released the LG G2 Android 4.4 update in their home country, and everybody is wondering now when the new firmware will hit the other markets of the globe. According LG Italia’s Facebook page, the Android 4.4 update for LG G2 will hit the European market by the end of March 2014.
The information surfaced after LG Italy responded to a Facebook user who asked when Android 4.4 for LG G2 will be made available in Italy. LG didn’t specifically mentioned that that the LG G2 Android 4.4 update will hit Italy in March, saying that the updates usually arrive in the same time frame in most European countries. Moreover, LG France recently said that the Android 4.4 KitKat update for LG G2 has been delayed (they previously announced it will arrive in January) to “early 2014.”
This is not the first time we are hearing that the LG G2 Android 4.4 update will be rolled out in March. In November 2013, an LG Canada official announced that the said firmware update will be released by the major Canadian carriers by the end of Q1 2014.
Of course, the LG G2 Android 4.4 release date might change in the meantime, so don’t celebrate yet. Furthermore, if you are reading this from the US, you should know that you might have to wait even longer, as the US carriers tend to be a bit slower when it comes to pushing new updates to the users.
