LG Optimus G to be followed by LG Optimus Nexus, release date in Korea set for next week
The LG Optimus G has been announced last month and now we have more details about LG’s new flagship device. According to the company, the Optimus G’s release date in Korea is sometime next week and it will be followed by the rest of the world soon.
According to the AP, LG Optimus G will be released in the US by November. Most likely, the Optimus G will be available at AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile. More carriers might follow soon.
As it was to be expected from a flagship device, the Optimus G features great hardware, as following: 1.5Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro, LTE, 2GB of RAM, 4.7-inch WXGA True HD IPSPlus with a 15:9 ratio, 32GB of internal memory, 13MP primary camera and 1.3MP frontal one, 2,100 mAh battery, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, MHL, DLNA and NFC.
This will definitely become one of the most powerful smartphones, competing with the HTC One X, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, and the Motorola RAZR i, along with others.
What’s more interesting about this device is that some rumors say it will be Google’s new Nexus smartphone. While we weren’t expecting for Google to choose a less popular phone maker for its next Nexus, it’s possible. It would definitely be a huge advantage for LG and might help the company increase its marketshare on the smartphone market. Lately they have struggled to increase sales on a market dominated by Apple and Samsung.
On the other side, not everyone prefers LG, as they have a reputation of using poor quality materials and don’t have a very good customer satisfaction. Though they could change this and prove us wrong with the LG Optimus Nexus.
