Phone makers have always competed in order to make the best smartphone on the market and now it’s the time for LG to give it a try with their new Optimus G. While the device hasn’t been announced officially yet, we do have some specs and a video of it, thanks to AndroidMX.
The LG Optimus G definitely wants to fight against Samsung’s Galaxy S3 and it does come with a plethora of wonderful features and hardware specs. It features a 4.7-inch HD IPS display, a quad-core 1.5Ghz Snapdragon S4 CPU with Adreno 320GPU, 2GB of RAM and a 13MP camera. Unfortunately it will come with Android 4.0 ICS on board, though they will probably release a Jelly Bean update soon thereafter.
The specs we have been talking about are already confirmed, so these are not just rumors. And it might become the most powerful smartphone on the market once it gets released. Hopefully they will manage to get Jelly Bean on it soon after it gets released, as it’s a big turnoff to see a high-end smartphone with an older operating system.
While LG hasn’t managed to sell very much Android devices, the Optimus G could prove to be a real success, considering it’s specs and real neat design.
Lg Optimus G’s release date is set for the end of the month, at IFA Berlin. We should find out more information about it in just a few days.
