LG Optimus G to become the Google Nexus 4, release date to be October 28
There have been a lot of rumors lately about a new Nexus device and now we have one more. As you might have heard already, Google’s new Nexus device will most probably be made by LG, thought now we have more information about it.
We don’t know how it will be called yet, though some say it will be named LG Optimus G Nexus, while others talk about the Google Nexus 4. But after all, name isn’t very important, so let’s see the specs.
Most likely the Google Nexus 4 will feature a 1.5Ghz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch 1280×768 pixels resolution display and a 2,100 mAh non-removable battery.
The LG Nexus 4 release date is said to be October 28, and it won’t come with an LTE radio, unfortunately. Considering it’s specs and the lack of LTE, the rumored price tag of $399 seems possible, which will make it cheaper than previous Nexus devices.
It seems like we have to wait in order to find out more exact information about the device. Hopefully the October 28 release date is true, which means there’s not a long wait until we find out more information on pricing, specs and the actual name.
Other rumors say that Google is going to release more Nexus devices and it’s most likely, which means the LG Nexus will be the lower priced one, while there will be another one, with more specs, probably LTE and a higher price.
It’s also possible that Google is going to release a phablet and it will probably be made by Samsung or HTC. But we have to wait until later this month in order to find out.
Once we find out more information about it, we will let you know.
What do you think it will be called ? LG Optimus G Nexus, LG Nexus 4 or Google Nexus 4 ?
