LG Optimus L9 joins the mid-range smartphones club with a 4.7-inch display
LG seems to be very busy launching new products and we now have info about one more. The LG Optimus L9 is a new mid-range smartphone, following the L3, L5 and L7. Unfortunately the smartphone doesn’t come with any stunning hardware specs, being neither lightning fast, though its price won’t be comparable to high-end devices either.
The Optimus L9 proves once again that nowadays trend in smartphones is the 4.7-inch display, which is great for most tasks, but sometimes hard to use, especially with basic tasks, like a quick call or answer.
It features a dual-core 1Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5MP rear camera, along with a VGA front-facing one, and a 2,150 mAh battery. It comes with Android 4.0 ICS, even if Jelly Bean has been released a for some time now. The device does look wonderful and it’s also very light and thin, weighting only 125 grams, with a thickness thickness of 9.1mm.
The LG Optimus L9 also comes with QTranslator, an OCR app that can read text and translate in 44 languages, and the My Style keyboard, which allows you to adjust its layout, so you can use it easier. The My Style keyboard is something like Samsung’s Galaxy Note one, which allows you lower its width and float it either on the left or right side.
Unfortunately the LG Optimus L9 doesn’t have a release date and pricing yet, though we should find out more about it soon.
