I know thre are lot of expensive smartphones out there, but the amount of money you would pay for Gold HTC One could get you almost six brand new unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 3s.
Of course, there’s a reason why the Gold HTC One has a price tag of $4,400. First of all it’s plated with real 18 carat gold. Second it’s an ultra limited edition handset which was custom made with the occasion of MOBO awards’ 18-th anniversary. The Gold HTC One series is limited to only 5 units, one of which will be presented to the winner of the Bes Newcomer award at the show dedicated to black music in UK. The MOBO awards ceremony will take place on October 19.
As for technical specifications, the Gold HTC One is identical with the regular handset that was introduced in February 2013: 4.7-inch 1080p Super LCD3 display, Gorilla Glass 2 protection, 32 GB of storage, 2 GB of RAM, quad-core Snapdragon 600 CPU, LTE, NFC, and a 4 MP UltraPixel camera.
If you can’t afford the price of $4,400 but you enjoy golden smartphones, you might want to hear that the rumor mill indicates that the Taiwanese company has a gold-colored HTC One in the works.
