While some Best Buy stores are already selling the Moto G for a few days now, the low-cost Motorola smartphone is now available in Verizon’s online store for only $99.
All of you must agree that for only $99, the Moto G is a real bargain. In case you don’t know it already, the Moto G packs a quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor mated with Adreno 305 GPU and 1 GB RAM. The affordable Motorola smartphone also comes with a 2,070 mAh battery, 8 GB internal storage, 5 MP primary camera, 1.3 MP user-facing shooter, along with Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, GPS, and WiFi. The Moto G features a 4.5-inch screen with 720p resolution and 326 ppi pixel density.
Even though the Moto G doesn’t come with LTE, NFC, or microSD support, it is a great smartphone considering the price of only $99. If you look in the offerings of other smartphone makers, a $99 device will only bring you at most a qVGA screen and dual-core CPU, if not single-core.
Anyway, the Verizon Moto G only works with Big Red’s prepaied SIM cards, therefore you will be stuck on 3G speeds. That’s the price you have to pay for a $99 Moto G. If you want to taste the faster HSPA+ networks, you can always purchase the GSM version of the smartphone, but that will cost you $179.
There’s no doubt that if you are in search of a budget smartphone you should consider the Moto G. A Moto G for almost half the price? An even better budget phone.Ang on snatching up the Moto G? If so, will you be going with the unlocked GSM, Verizon or Boost Mobile variant of the device?
