The official Android 4.4.4 KitKat OTA Update is currently being pushed out in India by Motorola, news confirmed on their own Twitter account.
Since the roll out has started we can only hope that the U.S. and the rest of the world will see all the new firmware KitKat files released soon enough. This might happen by the end of this month and users are eagerly waiting for Android 4.4.4 KK update roll out to start.
With Android 4.4.4 KitKat installed on your Moto E, Moto G or Moto X you will get mostly security patches and stability tweaks that should offer you an even better Android experience.
There are no other big changes besides the new Phone Dialer app. At the moment, Android 4.4.4 is being released in phases, so you might not receive the new files at the same time as all the other users in India. Up until now all the users who owned a Moto X, G or X in India had the Android 4.4.2 Update rolling out only which means that with the release of KitKat 4.4.4 firmware their devices have skipped the Android 4.4.3 builds.
Keep and eye on your Moto E, G and X notification panel starting today if you want to be one of the first users to install the updating files when these will be available. If the official update doesn’t arrive today nor tomorrow, then you shouldn’t panic as you will eventually get Android 4.4.4 firmware upgrade soon enough. Note that this official update will only be released for Moto X, Moto E and Moto G devices in India that are running 100% stock Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware.
If this new build doesn’t arrive by the end of this week, then you can manually check for new software files by going to Settings> About Device and then using its software updating section. If you’re based in India and you got the new Android 4.4.4 KitKat on your Moto X, Moto E or Moto G, then fell free to leave confirmation in our comments section to let others know that the rollout is indeed happening all over your country.
