Moto X Leaked Again, the Front Panel Caught on Camera

The Moto X is one of the most-anticipated smartphones of the year, especially that it will be the first smartphone co-developed by Google and Motorola after the search engine giant acquired the Chicago-based phone maker in August 2012.

In fact, soon after the Googorola deal went through, the Wall Street Journal reported that the two companies will team-up to develop a super smartphone dubbed the X Phone. Since then the details about the X Phone were shallow, but soon after the Motorola officials confirmed its existence at D11 this year the web was flooded with reports about the Moto X.

Before the D11 event, the Google and Motorola gave us some hints about the X Phone. The Motorola adviser Guy Kawasaki asked its followers in a Google Plus post whether they’d like a smartphone that can be personalized like a car, tipping about the customization options of the Moto X. Moreover, Google CEO Larry Page complained that the modern smartphones lack battery stamina and durability, hinting that smartphone will be water and dust proof and powered by a RAZR Maxx-like battery.

We also know from Motorola’s officials that the Moto X will come with “contextually aware” software meaning that it will either come with a custom skin developed by Motorola, dismissing the rumors saying it will run stock Android, or Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean will be “contextually aware” and it the Moto X will run it out of the box.

Anyway, let’s get back to the latest reports about the Moto X. After the Chicago-based company has decided to advertise its upcoming flagship smartphone as “Made in the USA” and “designed by you,” a couple of days ago we got to look at some of the device’s colored cases, hinting at it’s customization options.

Now we get to see some leaked photos of the Moto X’ front panel, which is revealing a really thin bezel that will go around its display. After it was initially reported that the Moto X will sport Snapdragon 400 SoC, the latest leaks regarding its technical specs are indicating that it will come with a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset clocked at 1.7 GHz, and a 4.7-inch HD display.

Rumor has it that the Moto X release date has been set for July 11th. What are your predictions for the Moto X? Are there any particular features you are expecting? Please let us know in the comments section below.

  • looks awesome…but i have a sigh of relief that it can’t be n5…n5 will be much more better than any other smartphone with its insane features it’ is going to fire the stage… http://www.nexus5us.com/nexus-4-vs-nexus-5-complete-analysis/

lol those rumors about the Nexus 5 are fake, its not going to have a 16mp camera, maybe 10 at best, when was the last time you ever saw a Nexus device with a top of the line camera cause i never have, also 4gb RAM on a phone hasn’t even been developed yet, we haven’t even seen 3GB devices hit the market.
My predictions for the Nexus 5 :
      4.7 inch 1080p display
      Snapdragon 600/800
      2gb RAM
      10 mp camera

      • u might be right marsg but canvas 4 is having 13 mp camera and costs just around $250 and lenovo has released their phone with 3 Gb ram.whatever it is i can’t hink that these specifications are wrong and there is also first time for anything.

First off the Lenovo does not have a 3gb RAM smartphone or at least I never heard of it, if you could link me to it that would be great, second they can have a 13mp camera at a cheap price but it won’t have a good sensor, the camera sensors for the past 3 nexus phones have come from Sony and Sony 13mp camera is pretty expensive and they don’t even have a 16mp smartphone camera sensor out as of right now, 8-10 is more likely especially since Google is trying to implement the new clear pixel cameras. 4gb of RAM on a device right now is not going to happen and 16mp is over shooting, the Nexus devices have never had better specs than the other high end devices released near the same time, the Nexus 5 won’t have better specs than the Optimus g2 or galaxy note 3 especially at the price it’s going to retail for.
