Moto X Release Date Might Be July 11

Even though it won’t be much longer until then, it seems that the official announcement of the Moto X will be on July 11, when the phone maker will hold a press event.

We recommend that you take this with a grain of salt though as we have out doubts concerning this rumors. You would think that Motorola would send the press invites by now considering that there are only 6 days remaining until July 11.

Anyway, moving on, the Moto X phone was confirmed in May during the D11 event. Back then Motorola’s Dennis Woodside specified under what name it will be sold and revealed a few of its functions. However, the phone maker did not mention any of the device’s specs of features, neither did it reveal an image featuring the handset.

According to Phone Arena, journalist Leo Laporte has already been invited to an event that will take place on July 10 and 11. The invitation was made by Guy Kawasaki himself, who has recently joined the Motorola team. It looks like Kawasaki communicated him that only selected tech journalists will be invited at the event, where the company is supposed to lunch something important.

Apart from this, there is also the Moto X ad which was firstly seen a few days ago and has already been published by several American newspapers. According to the ad, Motorola is spinning around the number eleven this period of time. As you can see in the image above the article, there are two persons jumping in the water, and they seem to form the letters X and I, which side by side form the number 11, in roman numerals.

Of course, there is no way to tell if the ad actually refers to July 11, but if we pair this with the alleged press invitation received by Laporte it kind of makes sense. Again, this is just a supposition as the X could also stand for Moto X, and the I could say that this is the first model of its kind.

All in all, it’s clear that Motorola and Google are getting ready to unveil the Moto X soon enough. This amount of rumors are always circulating when something is about to happen.
