Motorola Droid Maxx Android 4.4.2 OTA Update Coming Soon

The Droid Maxx official update to Android 4.4 KitKat has been confirmed to arrive soon. Keep an eye on your device in the following weeks as the first official KitKat build should arrive.

The update is currently being tested only by those that are part of Motorola Feedback Network, a soak test program. After the testing is complete all the Motorola Droid Maxx users will get the brand new Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update. Motorola uses the ‘soak test program’ in order to find bugs and other errors that they might have skipped, any bug found will be fixed before the official release data arrives.

If you’re a part of the Motorola Feedback Network, then you should check your email and see if there are any new notifications related to Android 4.4 KitKat testing program. You can use the comments field to confirm us that the new files are indeed available for download and installation.

This new firmware update build comes with camera improvements, new KitKat white status bar icons, smoother interface, better battery life, and more small changes that should offer you the best Android experience for your Droid Maxx smartphone. There is no official release date for the OTA update but it shouldn’t take long and before the end of this month it should arrive to all Motorola users.
