Motorola has unveiled a smartphone with a display that is close to the edge-to-edge concept, the dream of any smartphone enthusiast. It will be called Droid RAZR M and will arrive soon at one of the biggest US careers, followed by a global model, the RAZR M.
But let’s cut the chit-chat and take a look at the technical specificaitons of Motorola Droid RAZR M. The smartphone features a 4.3-inch display with Super AMOLED Advanced technology and 540 x 960 pixels, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage (only 4.5 GB available to the user), and microSD card slot that supports up to 32 GB.
The new Motorola smartphone also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 with two cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and it comes pre-loaded with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. The American phone maker promised that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will arrive soon after the terminal hits the stores.
In terms of connectivity, Motorola Droid RAZR M comes with 3G / 4G / LTE support, WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB, 3.5 mm audio jack, GPS and Glonass. It sports an 8 megapixel primary camera with autofocus and LED flash, while the front-facing camera has a 0.3 megapixel sensors. RAZR M weighs in 126 grams, is 8.3 mm thick and is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery.
Motorola Droid RAZR M will soon be available at Verizon Wireless for $99 on a two year contract. Motorola hasn’t unveiled the price of the global model, neither / nor the availability for the European market. The US-based company hopes that RAZR M will be a volume smartphone, thanks to its decent features, highly-appreciated processor (impressed us on ASUS PadFon and HTC One S), a CPU that became like a standard for the Windows Phone 8 smartphones.
It’s obvious that Google wants to bring Motorola to a new level and this is great news.
