The price of the Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx HD has been dropped by online retailers over the past couple of months. Now, it’s time for the price to be reduced at carriers, as well. The first move was made by Verizon, which made the device a little more reasonable in terms of price.
So, in case you want to get the Droid RAZR Maxx HD from Verizon, you will pay $50 less than it was before. In other words, the carrier is offering the device at $249.99. Of course, at this price it is necessary to sign a new contract with Verizon that lasts two years.
However, if you want to make a real deal, the phone is also available at online retailers like Amazon and Wirefly. Amazon is offering the Motorola DROID Razr Maxx HD for only $100, while Wirefly sells it in exchange for a little more money, at a price of $150. In both cases there is a contract involved. The conclusion is that you spend less money if you buy the smartphone from a retailer.
Verizon doesn’t present the Droid Razr Maxx HD as being the star anymore, when it comes to Android handsets. Also, the mobile companies are getting ready to launch new flagships, thus we expect the price of the Droid to drop once again.
The smartphone was announced by Motorola in September 2012. It comes with a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 1280 x 720. It also includes a Snapdragon S4 with two krait cores at 1.5GHz. 1GB of RAM, and runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich which can be upgraded to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. In terms of internal storage, the phone is available in two versions (16/32 GB).
So, you will buy the phone right now, or you prefer to wait and hope for an even lower price?
