Valentine’s Day is in a couple of weeks and while some will take advantage on this occasion to declare their love, others would want to make some money. The guys at Motorola are in the latter category as they just announced deals for some of their products.
Motorola’s Valentine’s Day promotion saves you some money with the purchase of a Moto X Pure Edition, Moto G 2015, or Moto 360. The discounts go thorugh February 16 so you still have some time to think about them.
Moto G 2015
With the purchase of a Moto G 2015, Motorola is offering two additional back covers for free. A Moto G 3rd gen shell usually costs $14.99, so you should be able to save about $30.
To recap, the Moto G 3rd gen features a 5-inch IPS LCD screen with 720 x 1280 resolution and Gorilla Glass 3, quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor at 1.4 GHz, 13 MP main cam with f/2.0 aperture, dual-LED, and 1080p video recording, and 4 MP user-facing cam.
Moto G is available in two variants – one with 8 GB storage and 1 GB RAM and the other with 16 GB storage and 8 GB RAM – both offering microSD support up to 32 GB. A 2,470 mAh battery is keeping the lights up and the phone is upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow
Moto X Pure Edition
There’s also a discount for the Moto X Pure Edition Designed by Jonathan Adler. There are three different looks available, all available with a price cut of $75. Initially sold at $474.99 the Honeycomb, Half Circle, and Bridget limited edition styles are up for grabs at $399.99 until February 16th.
As a refresher, Moto X Pure Edition packs a 64-bit hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, while being kept alive by a 3,000 mAh battery with TurboPower Charging that get up to 10 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charging. Motorola’s latest flagship is also equipped with a 5.7-inch Quad HD IPS LCD screen, 32 GB storage, microSD slot, and 3 GB RAM.
The rear-facing cam has 21 MP resolution, f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, and 4K UHD video recording capabilities, while the secondary cam is a 5 MP unit with LED flash. The phone runs almost-stock Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box and it’s upgradable to Marshmallow.
Moto 360 2015
If were already planning to buy a 2nd gen Moto 360 smartwatch now might be the perfect moment to do it. Motorola says that if you buy Moto 360 with a metal band they will give you a leather band for free, which is pretty cool as you can switch it on the go courtesy of the new mechanism. While Moto 360 with a metal band starts at $349, a leather band costs $39.99 so that’s how much you’ll save.
Moto X 360 2015 features a 1.56-inch flat tire IPS LCD screen with 360 x 330 resolution, while the processing tasks are handled by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor. It has 4 GB storage, 512 MB RAM, a 400 mAh battery, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and it’s dust and water resistant with IP67 rating.
