Moto X will be Available from Republic Wireless without Contract for $299, Release Date Set for November 2013

MotoX available for $299 from Republic Wireless

The Republic Wireless is a rather new company that offers unlimited cellphone service throughout the US. It usually requires you to pay somewhere around $20 per month in order to use their wireless service for unlimited mobile data, calling and texting.

Now, they’re offering the Moto X for only $299 without contract, but you will still need to choose from different types of plans for you to be able to use their devices. So, if you plan on using all their services, then you will have to pay $40/ month. This plan allows you to use the Sprint LTE network whenever there is no Wi-Fi connect. If you will choose the $25 per month plan, then you will only be able to use the Sprint 3G CDMA service.

If you don’t want to pay $40 nor $25, then you can always choose to pay for the $10/ month plan but, with this cheaper contract you will only be able to use the mobile data only when you’re near Wi-Fi hotspots, while you still be able to use voice calling and SMS text massages. There is also a $5 plan that works only when you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network.

The Motorola Moto X devices were launched last month in August and now you can purchase it from Republic Wireless for only $299, while the release date has been set for November. Republic Wireless offers a Hybrid service, which doesn’t allow to use your device on a different carrier, as they are routing all mobile data, text messages, calls via Wi-Fi when there is a nearby hotspot. If you’re outside Wi-Fi hotspots then your device will switch automatically to Sprint’s cellular data network.

The Moto X comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, it packs a 4.7 AMOLED 720p HD Touch screen, 1.7 GHz dual-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, 2200 mAh non-removable battery that should hold a full charge for 24 hours, X8 Mobile Computing SYstem, 10MP camera, 4G LTE and WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac. Also, the Google Play Store is fully supported.

Republic Wireless hasn’t confirmed nor denied whether the Moto X model that they’re selling will receive the Android 4.3 JB OTA Update. Hopefully, there will be more info about this soon.

If you decide to buy Moto X from Republic then you should know that it comes in two colors: woven white and woven black. Also, besides the device, the package will also contain speakers, headphones, cases and screen protectors. Also, if you’re an LG Optimus Republic or Motorola Defy XT Republic member then you will also get a $100 automatic credit that you can use to buy the new Motorola Moto X.
