After France, UK and India, the Multi-view feature will arrive to the Galaxy Note 2 users from Germany, as the OTA update has just been made available for the mentioned country. So, if you own the Note 2 now you can easily apply the OTA (Over the Air) firmware by using the Samsung KIES tool or by installing the update directly on your handset.
All you need to have is a computer with KIES installed and internet connection enabled, or WiFi connectivity enabled on your device. Anyway, we are glad to see that the Galaxy Note 2 OTA update is spreading fast through numerous markets, Samsung really trying to please its users and customers.
As mentioned, the first to receive the new Multi-View feature were the France and UK users, almost a week ago. Furthermore, India also received the OTA update for the Note 2 two days ago, so the German release wasn’t announced by anything actually. Anyway, the same firmware version has been given to all the countries, the only difference being CSC, which is being related to cellular networks. For the full details of the update take a look: AP: N7100XXALJ1; CP: N7100XXALIH; CSC: N7100DBTALJ1.
For those who don’t know, the Multi View feature brings the possibility of running two applications on the same screen and on the same time. The capability is being included in the Jelly Bean update which is brought by Samsung for the Note 2, though not all the Google Play apps will be able to offer support for the feature. Anyway, according to our sources, this is not the only improvement that comes for your device, as the firmware is also bringing a new baseband and an update for Google Chrome.
Now, if you want to check if you have received the OTA update for your galaxy Note 2, go to “Settings -> About Device -> Software Update”, or use a computer with Samsung KIES installed.
