After we have presented you some leaked pictures of the Huawei Ascend P6, in a version that was looking to much like an iPhone, today the Chinese smartphone returns with a whole new design. This basically means that the pictures we’ve seen yesterday were fake. Or maybe these pictures are fake. My guess is that the yesterday’s leaks were not so accurate.
It’s not clear yet whether the Huawei P6-U06 amd Huawei Ascend P6 are the same smartphone, but the are a lot of chances for this to happen. What we know for sure is that we’re dealing with a 6.18 mm thin smartphone, which is a reminiscent of the Huawei Edge model, which hit the web in March.
If yesterday’s photos were discovered on the world wide web (we don’t know where or how), today’s leaked pictures were emailed to Engaget by an anonymous reader. We can see a metallic case in the spotlight and a back lid that reminds of the Lenovo K900.
With all these being said, learn that on June 18th Huawei will host an event in London, where we might see the Huawei Ascend P6 model in flesh.
The Huawei Device chief, Richard Yu will attend the London based event. Meanwhile the Mexican blog Circular has also published some pictures of the terminal, but also some technical specifications.
It seems that Huawei Ascend P6 will come with a quad-core 1.6 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage and Emotion UI applied over Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Are the metallic cases the trend for the 2013 smartphone market?
