The waiting has finally come to an end for the people in Brazil who want to purchase Google’s current flagship smartphone, the Nexus 4. No, this is not just a rumor, it’s official. The Google Nexus 4 is now available for purchase in Brazil.
The news has been officially confirmed by Google’s Hugo Barra on his Google+ account. He adds that the smartphone is available for purchase via Fast Shop and Ponto Frio.
The Nexus 4 was launched in Europe and North America a few months ago, but unfortunately for the people living in Brazil they didn’t have the possibility to get their hands on the device because it hasn’t been available until today.
While the Nexus 4 comes packing last year’s high-end specs, it still remains a great device being one of the best in the latest performance tests. In case you are not familiar with what the Nexus 4 has to offer, know that it comes with a 4.7-inch display that has a resolution of 1280 x 768 and a pixel density of around 318 ppi. The screen is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
The Nexus 4 is underpinned by a Snapdragon quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait CPU manufactured by Qualcomm, which is helped by an Adreno 320 GPU. As for the memory, the handset is available in two variants namely the 8 GB and 16 GB one. Unfortunately, the Google Nexus 4 doesn’t feature a microSD card slot, so the internal memory can’t be further expanded. Apart from the on-board storage, the smartphone also has 2 GB of RAM.
Among other specs that need to be mentioned there is the 8 MP rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash, and check quality. The camera of the Nexus 4 has several useful features including Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, and of course the photo sphere, which allows the users to take 360 degree panoramic photos. Besides the primary camera, the device also has a 1.3 MP secondary one situated in the front.
There is nothing worth mentioning except for the fact that the Google Nexus 4 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which can be upgraded to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
