As you probably know, the Nexus 5 release date is just around the corner and as we are getting closer to the launch event the leaks are intensifying.
So far, we’ve seen an official press rendering of the N5 that was spotted in Google Play and even the press rendering of the Telus variant. The infamous leaker @evleaks has published a new press render of the Nexus 5 via Twitter. @evleaks has a reputation of always getting rumors right, so we have strong reasons to believe that we are looking at a real Nexus 5 press rendering. Moreover, @evleaks’ photo matches the Telus Nexus 5 I was mentioning above.
The tweet doesn’t mention anything about the smartphone’s release date or specifications, all it says it’s “Nexus 5, by LG, 2013.” Even though we’ve already seen the Nexus 5 from all angles, one more look at the smartphone developed by Google and LG is warmly welcomed.
The Nexus 5 press render shared by @evleaks looks a bit unfinished. I’m not saying it’s not official, but rather a “work in progress.” If you look at the sides of the back shot and the camera you can see for yourself what am I talking about. Still, it the wallpaper is the same of the Telus Nexus 5 and the icons match with the previous Android 4.4 leaks.
In case you’ve missed the previous rumors and you don’t know what to expect from the Nexus 4 follow-up, hear that the handset could pack a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB of internal storage, an 8 MP primary camera with OIS, and all the connectivity features worthy of a modern smartphone, including WiFi, LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and microUSB 2.0.
There are no official details regarding the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 release date, but everyone anticipates that the new smartphone and Android iteration will see the light of day later this month.
