Nexus 5 Makes Appearance in Play Store, Priced $349

Don’t freak out yet, it was only for a brief moment! Well, after months of leaks this is the first time we get an official look at the Nexus 5. Intentionally or not (my guess is that it was a mistake) Google has listed the Nexus 5 in the Play Store Device section. In the meantime, the Nexus 5 Play Store listing is gone and all we have left is the screenshot above.

The Play Store leak also revealed that the 16 GB Nexus 5 will have price tag of $359, which means that the 32 GB model that will also go on sale via Play Store will cost $399.

While the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 descriptions focus on portability and high-resolution display, respectively, the Nexus 5 description reads “Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways.” Hopefully, this will mean that the Nexus 5 will have a decent camera mounted on its back.

Besides the price, the Google Play Store Nexus 5 listing didn’t reveal more details about the handset. Even though reports indicated that Google will announce KitKat 4.4 and the Nexus 4 follow up mid-October, the new Android iteration and the Nexus 5 are still nowhere to be found. Moreover, Nestle is messing with the Android fans one Kit Kat’s Google Plus page with tons of teasers.

If you missed the rumors train, you might want to hear that the Nexus 5 is expected to arrive with a 5-inch full HD LCD display, quad-core Snapdragon 800, 2 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB of storage, WiFi, NFC, LTE, and an 8 MP with optical image stabilization.
